good news, the Tsunami 1200 will soon have 1" connections on it

I just talked to Attwood, trying to figure out which pumps I should go with. I first talked to their customer service dept, then their tech support. The tech support guy told me they will have a 1" version of the T1200 this spring. The part number is 4663-1, and 4663-7 (one is bulk, one is individually packaged).

This changes everything, and will make things so much easier.

I think the Fly High sacs still have a 3/4" threaded opening, right?

I could have sworn that my Tsunami pump has 1" tubing already...I guess I should check on that.

The problem for ballast systems is the current 1200's are 1 1/8 inlet/outlets which you cannot get fittings. They are now going to make the inlets/outlets 1 inch threaded which is common and fittings are plentiful so you do not need to bootleg it like i did.
The bag side is easy. It was the manifold etc
      Let it be!!!

Came across this thread again looking for another and reminded me: I talked to 2 peeps at Attwood and both said there were no plans in the works to put out a 1200gph pump with a 1" in/outlet.

Someone was supposed to call me back that could give me a ballpark flow drop of the T1200 when using the Fly High 3/4 adapters. Never called back, I need to fallow up.

Hmm... I think they made a mistake (kinda). I have 6 of them, the only problem is, the inlets are 1", the outlets are still 1 1/8". It's better then the old ones, just not perfect.

I also talked to one of their engineers a while back. He did some math, and figured out if I had a rise of 3 foot (over the side of the boat), and reduced it down to the 3/4" for the fat sack, it would drop my flow rate from 1200 --> 800ish. I thought about going with the T800's, but by doing that, my flow rate would have dropped even more because of my rise. I ended up going with the T1200's. I built the system, and took a bunch of pictures. I just haven't had a chance to post anything yet.

Do you have a pic of one of the pumps as it came out of box/package? Is it a thread-on reducer on the inlet or is the threaded inlet on the body of the pump reduced. Is it barbed or threaded?

I talked to the Southeast sales rep, and she then put me to one of the product reps.

Cant wait to see the pics, thanks for the quick reply

Mike - PM me your cell phone number. I've got a picture on my cell I can send to you via a picture message.

The inlet has a threaded 1" male tube on it, the outlet is a 1 1/8" threaded tube.
