    Wake Pictures

Got some updated pictures of the finished ballast bags. I use 380 lbs. in the rear lockers and 350 lbs. on the bow floor. I run TAPS at 7 at 11 mph for a longer pocket play area or TAPS at 5 at 10 mph for a higher wake. It is fun to play with the speeds and TAP settings based on the number of people in the boat. Always making adjustments depending on the number of passengers.

How fast are people running for wakeboarding? I am currently at 20 mph with TAPs at 4 and getting some pop; nothing like what I need to get my 220 lbs in the air. My wife tells me I need to shed a few pounds. The distance between wake to wake seem very wide at 70 feet of rope. Does the wake "narrow" any at faster speeds? I have shortened the rope to 58 feet which gets me closer to the boat for a more narrow wake to wake jump. Any advice?

I am running Fly High 750lb. fat sacs in my lockers and filling up my stock center hard tank which is 250lbs. I am going to play around with some weight in my bow to try and firm up my wake.
I suspect that I will be buying a Fly High bow sac soon.
I run 22.6 mph at 75 feet and have no problem clearing the wake.
I am 6 foot and weigh 190. Speeding up does not narrow out the wake on my Avy. So much of clearing the wake is how you approach it and holding your edge to the top of the wake and doing an ollie off the lip.

Maybe at 42 years old and 220 lbs, I just need to accept not getting much air may not happen for me.

Also realize that it's really gonna hurt when you fall!

Just stand tall and hit the wake and you will get air!

Ballast install worked like a charm all season. Jabsco pump puppies worked great filling and draining the fat sacks all season. It was a perfect ballast install for the Z1. In all, it was a good season with decent gas prices; allowed great time to improve wake boarding technique and water sports. Sadly, season is ending and time to winterize the boat and plan for next spring!

Glad to hear it all worked out for you. I may use that system for some other guys that are inquiring about them.

I thought it was your "ballast system", as it looks exactly like what was done in a couple others you were apart of. Someone named "Andy" did sell him the setup, but is wasn't the one I met a few weeks back

Nick, I'm seriously glad your ballast is working to your expectations........I guess the 2 weeks you spent PM'ing me picking my brain paid off. Just wish you had given me the opportunity to price match the quote from who ever it was you showed my quote to.

                        Ballast

Andy Nesbitt is the (Tige) owner of Western Ohio Watersports: http://www.westernohiowatersports.com/

I purchased my Z1 from Andy along with Fly High sacks.

CHPTHRIL, not sure what you mean by me sharing a "quote" from somebody or given you the opportunity to pricematch. My ballast was completed by myself with ideas from many other forum members including yourself. Yes, you did give me advice along with SPBFAN who also name is Andrew.

A few pictures of how I ran the pump wires to the fuse box.
I reconnected 2 switches I relocated under the dash. These 2 switches were not used but had power running to them. Not a whole lot of extra wire to move these switches around!
