I would not put that on the trailer with all that water...

Empties as fast while on the water also.

Rode in a F21 Tomcat about 5 weeks ago. Nice boat but the owner needs to figure out the weight placements since the wake was rolling over. All those takes are in the back and none of them are in the bow. Hence the rolling of the wake tip.

That's the same placement for the Tige. In floor ballast in the back and a bow sack in the front.

Bummer that the transom gate ballast system looks very doubtful for the 09 Tiges.

I guess all for the best -- rather not be a beta tester

Exactly, but both the F23 and F21 Tomcat do not have ballast bags/tanks in the front. The boat would be very nice if they added some weight to the front.

yep, definitely empty it before it goes on the trailer

Well, this is pretty typical for some companies. They advertise their ballast capacity, which has nothing to do with the wake quality.

I have seen some great wakes with MB boats. Just haven't seen it yet with the Tomcats personally.

I was waiting for fish and other stuff to come flying out of there.

Is the water pumped out or does it just open the gate? Just curious on how it would drain if it wasn't pumped out, I can see how it would fill but not drain without pumps.

It fill when floating and drains when in motion. Both when the gate values are open.

I still think that's the best idea for a ballast system around. I'm assuming Tige's system will be similar?

The ballast system that MB is using is amazing. It's beauty is in its simplicity. Open the gates, and the system fills while floating. Then, to empty, just open the gates and open the gates and they drain. The only problem we had with the system was when one of the air vents got plugged. I'll try to post some F23 Tomcat wake pics. I don't have any of just the wake, but I should have some that are good enough. I may be risking a public tar and feathering here, but I'm not sure I've seen a nicer wake than the one on the Tomcat I road this summer. The wake was huge and clean, and your didn't need to go that fast. Full ballast at 22-23 was nice and clean. We road this boat with numerous configurations. Early in the year we weren't filling it all the way, and the wake was still nice. Most of the time it was full ballast with 2 or 3 people in the boat. Labor day we went full ballast with 9 in the boat, and the wake was enormous. Frankly, I liked the shape better with a smaller crew. I should throw in the caveat that I don't remember how long we were riding at. I don't typically ride at 80+ feet, so I don't bother when I'm on a bigger wake. Overall, it was a real nice boat. I'm looking forward to trying another one next summer.
