lee- do you have an example of what you do for the manifold for laying the pumps over, like a pic?

I think Tigé's intention is good but the system needs a little fine tuning, and that is what I am working on.

So just as I was taking my boat apart I remembered that my check valves for the front bags are in my front storage compartments and not in the bilge area. I decided to take it apart anyway since my front starboard pump does not fill the bag. I discovered there are no check valves for my rear tanks, strange since they never empty?

I took off the brass cap on my check valve and the flap flowed fine. I tried putting a water hose in the rear intake and water flowed to the front starboard fine. What is really strange is that it doesnt work once I am on the lake. Everything works fine, pump is running, water is flowing fine, check valve opens and closes fine. I guess that is what happens when I get one of the very first RZ2's with ballast. I am the guinea pig.

I would say that the rear pumps do not have a check valve because the fill for the tank is at the top of the tank and above the pump.

Have you tried putting it in reverse with the pump on to get water going a little better?

I am looking forward to what lee comes up with.

Maybe the o-ring on the pump cartridge is worn and it is not sealing and sucking air or the pump is week?

Every time I fill my ballast it starts with a reverse. So yes. I even sit in the bow to help lower the intake.

Lee I saw that. Makes sense. I wonder if I would need new PVC tube for the pump to lay on the side like that? Like rushin said, I would like to see an example too. All of the pumps work except for the front starboard pump. Like I said it runs but water doesn't flow no matter what I do.

My ghetto way of getting it to work is to lift a little bit of the pump top off and then put it back on. Works every time but becomes a pain in the butt.

I had my wife hold the hose to the rear intake while I inspected the pump and it wasn't leaking and it appeared to be working fine.

I would guess it is a air issue then!

                                Looks simple enough.

what is the black covering for? If that is what it is.

                                This works huh?

                                Matt, I get a red X
