    stock '07 ballast manifold

I was working on getting one of my pumps to work, so while I was there I thought I would get some pictures of the stock manifold if anyone is interested. There are brass check valves mounted to the 2 forward pumps.

This is in our RZ2, i am sure the other models with stock ballast are the same.

    A second

Not sure I agree with the pumps standing straight up. Seems like they would have to work harder to draw the water up.

Thanks for the pictures rushin. I am going to try to fix my forward pump this week.

Did you have a hard time removing the floor what is the trick to it?

After you remove the seat base, just pull up the aft end of the floor panel a inch or so and slide it back and it comes right out. It slides into a lip on the forward side.

Let me know how yours go's.

In the first picture the pump's are set up just as the fill ports are in the boat.

That actually looks like an improvement over the past configuration of all the pumps in a straight line along the stringer. With the pumps turning toward the keel, this looks like it's getting the inlets lower then the manifold and below the water line. This should improve the vapor-lock problem.

I thought the red ones are 950gph and the yellow pumps 1100gph?

found this, this is what they are. Hmm..... why would they use a twin port pump. Now I know what the plug on the bottom of the pumps are.

I know the Tiges that I have worked on had Mayfairs. Quick Google search, it looks looks they are one in the same now.

Maybe a better bulk rate on a slower moving part number

You will need to lay the pumps over and have the hose pointing up or you will have air pockets and the water will not flow. Most times we have to rebuild the 2007 manifolds to get the to work.
