    Quick disconnects

Has anyone seen a quick disconnect that can be put inline in the fill & vent ballast hoses?

The carpet in the bow of my boat is soaked, and has been ever since we first got the boat, water over the bow, rain etc, it has all collected up there. We have the factory ballast with the flyhigh v sac under the seats. I can't remove it the way it is because the hoses are so tight on the fittings. I was thinking about cutting the hose and putting in a quick disconnect everywhere I needed one so I could disconnect and remove the whole bag easily.

Then I could vacuum, air dry and clean under there.
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

I have the quick disconnects for all the connections on our sacs. Its the only way to go. You can remove the sacs in a couple of minutes. It also allows you to use the pumps as a bilge pump in a hurry if you have other problems.

I have taken a little water over the front and usually put towels under the sac to suck up most of the water. Removing the front V sac is a pain.

Thanks Lee, that might be just what I need. Looking at what they have available it looks like I may need at least 3 probably 4 pieces to make each connection work.

I want to just cut the fill & discharge hoses and put these inline so I can completely remove the bag. I have seen some pricing on these fittings before and if my memory serves me correct, FlyHigh is very proud of these little things if you know what I mean.

Do you have factory ballast, and you installed these after the fact like I want to do? Or, did you do your own install and include these when putting it all together?

I bought all the parts from SBFAN. Andrew offers the best pricing on these fittings.

Follw the link below or search for TigeDuners ballast install. You can see the quick disconnects on the sacs in the pictures.

I have a couple 3/4"unions I bought at Lows in the plumbing section. They will due what you want Just add 3/4 " PVC pipe and clamp the hose on to the pipe. It is a good fit and is less than $5 per set.

Yeah, they're real cheap. Home Depot carries them too. Check out this thread and you can see how they attach with hose clamps.
