Chpthril's Ballast install

Finally got got some time to clean up the install, re-route some hoses, and finish taking a few pics.

Just going to hit the highlights as there a handful of very well detailed installs already posted.

Front: Integrated Bow sac = 500#'s
Starboard Rr: V-drive sac = 400#'s
Port Rr: "L" shaped Surf sac = 700#'s
7 Attwood T800 Tsunami pumps:
3 fill pumps on PVC manifold feed by 1.5" thru-hull mushroom
4 drain pumps (1 for ea rear sac and 1 in each leg of the bow sac)
3/4 hose and fittings

Vents and drains on each sac are T'd together to cut down on holes in boat Stern drain pumps located behind bulkhead wall.

I added all new valves to the surf sac because the factory ones just didnt work well didnt fill all the way, didnt vent, and would not drain fully.

Yes, Integrated Bow sac, Surf sac, and a pair of V-drive sacs. Got them from Ebay store/seller MaxWake. http://stores.ebay.com/MaxWakeMaxFun

I see that you were able to attach a tie to the stringer to hold the manifold in place. After busting 2 drill bits drilling into the stringer, I just let it lay on the bilge floor. How did you attach it?

Put the screw in the driver bit and screwed it in Didn't even pre-drill a pilot hole..........guess by driver is more powerful then yours

If you also notice, the manifold is against the stringer, putting the pump lower then the manifold. so far, no vapor lock

What stops the vapor lock is that you have the hose coming out of the pumps pointing up, so if there is any air in the pumps it is going rise to the top and flow out of the hose allowing water to be in the pump.
