No weight to surf...maybe if you weigh 75 pounds. Too bad the dealer did not inform you properly. I am sure that if they gave somebody a test drive they will find out the truth. Maybe they got caught up in the no ballast for wakeboarding pitch.

    Sled,

I grew up in Ogden...Go Scots!!!! Do they have plans to fill Willard Bay up again?

Hmmmm..........I was wondering if there was some bad info from the dealer.

Sled, if you weight your 24Ve down like that Enzo was, you will be impressed with the surf wake, and it's still a better all around boat

It is possible, but wake is small. This is RJ surfing the very first time we tried, about a month after we got the boat. No ballast, just the 8 of us.

The goofy side on my boat is much easier to dial in. With just a 400 pound sack and a couple of folks, that side is a contender. On the correct side ( ), it requires much more weight. Maybe I should just learn to go goofy?

This year it has been definately harder to dial in the surfwake. Granted this year we have used the boat way less than the previous 6 years. Goofy is definately easier to dial in but I have lost the length of the wake.
            Let it be!!!

On our 22Vé we have experienced the exact same thing. I think it has to do with the prop rotation. The starboard side with the back locker full and people on that side cleans up beautifully.. The port side with the same setup just mirrored is nowhere near as clean. Like you said it takes a lot more weight to clean that side up.

I have found that the starboard side shapes up very well with the bow sac full but the port side seems to be better with the front empty and the weight on that side. We also have 900lbs of fat sacs that never leave the starboard side (one in the locker and one under the seats) and this has converted many a regular rider to goofy. Now almost everyone that goes up with us surfs goofy because the "darkside" is so much cleaner.

              So I say.. convert!!
If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..

It is easier to make a wave on goofy, but also harder to make a wave on goofy without a large curl, and that takes some work. The reg side is actually easier to make comp style wake, with a clean face and small curl. The main thing on the reg side, is not that you need so much more weight, but you need to list the boat over enough. You don't have to list the boat over as much on the goofy side to form a wave, on the reg, you must list it over well.

I'm also a scot. Friendly scots brave and strong "72" lives on and on. It looks like they are making good progress on the dike so I'm guessing they will fill it next season.

please describe where you put your weight and how many pounds. We were out last night and did pretty well. I do need to figure out how to stretch the sweet spot. I think it's too short and too close to the boat. Please help. We had about 2500 lbs in the rear and 200 in the front. the wake had plenty of push but it was hard to stay in the sweet spot because the water was rough and pitching the boat around a lot.
