I have a 2006 24ve with no ballast. I do have plenty of fat sacs. What is the best set up you have seen and is it better to have some weight in the bow or just to keep as much weight as posible in the rear? Riders who weight 165 lbs or less have no problem surfing without the rope, but those who are around 200lbs cannot stay in the wake without the rope. Looking for a better set up. thanks

I have a 24v and stack 2 fly-high 400# in the back locker and use the bow U sac.
You need to put some weight in the bow to make the sweet spot on the wake longer.
10.5-11.5 taps 3-6Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

The 600 in the front is the Fly High U shaped intigrated bow sac that fits under the seats, the rear sacs are in the back locker and under the side seats. After alot of expeirmenting, we found that weight on both sides gave us a better wave. We do have any people that are in the boat sit on the side we are surfing.

For surfing on our 24ve we run 750 full in rear on surf side, half full 750 on opposite side rear, full front 300 on side of surfing, and half full front on opposite side. Put everyone on the side that is being surfed and you'll be good. If you want a longer wave with less curl, put people in the bow, if you want a shorter, taller wave put everyone in the back corner of the surf side.

have the 24ve....and have similar issue as described. We have (2) 540# ballast bags that I'm experimenting where to put. I must need more weight because have not free surfed yet for more than 10 sec's or so.
We have both goofy and reg surfers. So one experiment was to fill one in each back locker for bigger wake, then move all people to surfing side for the leaning wake. It's ok, but not there yet. The hassle is swapping from Reg to goofy & back. It would be nice to be able to move these beomoths, but you can't.
I probably need more bag(s) and another pump. My next thought is to try putting:
one 540# in front for longer wave
One on the surfing side back locker
the 3rd empty
Then drain from one bag to other to go from goofy/regular.
Or
Maybe getting some fat bricks we have more easily move around.
THis is getting to be an expensive sport to just get up and free ride....
Does that make sense--or any other ideas appreciated.

Big Wake.
Are you putting sacs on top of on another or in another location for surfing? I want to try to do what you are doing in terms of wake size but need the extra bag and want to know where you are putting it/Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
