    front ballast/weighting for 05 switch-v 20'???

anybody have, or had experience with weighting the bow on a switch v? i have problems with mine bouncing unless a couple of people are up front to weight it down while wakeboarding. been thinking about getting some car brake rotors and bolting them together and putting on each side since there isn't a lot of room under the front seats and around the front of the bow... ideas???

What are you running taps at? I had an 02 20V and ran 400# in each rear locker and taps at 3-4. Any higher we had slight porpoising issues. Wakeboarding wake was good for the young ins
    Let it be!!!

for a better wake on a 20v put more weight in the front than the back, ie.. if you have 800 in the rear, then you need at least 1000 in the front! the wake will be strong and shaped beautiful. between 3 and 4 on taps is perfff! 4 if you want to really fly!!! i sometimes put it a little after 4.

with the ballast like this toy can ride at 25mph with taps at almost 6 and no porpusing. my buddy is pro and rides with randall and ricky g on a regular basis and him and i were testing the wake and boat with more than what i have mentioned. I have also reproped the boat to handle the weight!

TAPS @ 8, and they will porpoise. Try a local tire shop and see if they will give/sell you some old lead wheel weights. This would be much better then steel breake rotors.

                Put the heavy-weights up front

Idk though I run a lil more weight in the back than the front. I had a 750 in each locker 600 in the walkway and a 440 on top of that. plus about 200 in lead in the front under the seats. The otherday I tried throwing a 440 along the back seat and it gave the wake so much more meat to it so thats what im going to start doing so I would say I run about 40/60 front to back ratio. 24mph at 80' taps between 4-5

One thing we found in experimenting with our 21v was that a 550 right in front of the back seat really gave the wake some very good defintion. You still need weight up front, but if the back weight is too far back, you get porpoising and the effectiveness of your TAPS is greatly diminished.
