    1998 Pre 2200I WT

What have you guys found to make the wake on this boat the best it can be. I have 2 500lbs masterlines and 2 200 lb side sacks. Played with them a little so far but can't seem to get that big ramp I want. Curious to see what other pre 2200I owners are doing.

I'm pretty sure I'm running your same platform. It's a good boat with just a little help. Does it have taps? Let's hope so. 60% rear, 40% front on whatever weight you have. I honestly have only run 700lbs in tube sacs (one in the bow walkway all the way up, one in the trunk) and 10 adults wherever they'll fit. Do your best to keep them evenly balanced (tell 'em to sit down and shut up). A nice cooler behind the driver provides a good seat for someone. Run the Taps up to 2 and play with it from there. You're dealing with a giant, flat bottom hull, so keeping the curl off the top of the wake is the tough part. It will build a deceptively big wake with long, smooth transitions. Just gonna have to blast through that lip. If you're looking for a Nautique wake, you aint gonna find it. It's a fatass. Start with a 65' foot line @ 24mph and work from there. Again, giant slalom boat = super wide table.

This is a good little surf boat. Use that same weighting and just flop everybody or whatever to whatever side you want to surf and hit it. Not gonna be the biggest wake you'll ever surf, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in shape. Just like the wakeboard wakes, long, smooth transitions in big pockets. What you need to do is keep the nose down. That hull will suck air all the way down to the prop, causing it to, what I like o say, "vent the prop". Think of the way an offshore powerboat sounds when racing in 3' chop. Your RPMs will jump, you'll start loosing plane, and things will just generally suck. Get the nose down. Some times you can tune it out with Taps, but if not, get a fat friend to sit up front.

    What prop are you running?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

for my 1997 2150i. I added a 600LB fat sac under the glove compartment. I also added long skinny bag in the rear swim locker. It seemed to balance everything out nicely. I tried to add more weight to the front but nose kept going under.
If its not fun, Why do it?

Well I'd shoot the chit with you about it, but I see you've moved up in the world a bit. Nice move.

Yeah! Thanks! I love the ballast system. I can't do anymore testing using that boat. I still have the 2 fat sacs and pump on the floor of my garage.

I have a 370lb tube sac under the back seat (not full) and 2 400lb sacs on the same side stacked ontop of each other and we got a pretty nice wake.
