    Sacs syphoning.

Anyone have the answer to this or where that thread is. I fear a friend is having this issue. I have yet to see the new system in action, but he described it to me and it sounds like syphoning.

Got a chance to check it out a little yesterday. Syphoning bad. Didn't get the chance to get in there and look at all the plumbing, but they empty right out while underway.

          What type of system?

Well, he bought the boat right off the lot. It had no ballast system. They said they would throw in the ballast system with the purchase of the boat. Sweet. They got the system from Tige. Tanks, pumps, switches. Tanks would not not fit. Switched to Fly-Hy's. Everything seems to work fine except the syphoning.

Check valves go on the vent lines?

No, put them in the fill lines, with tanks the water goes in the top and can't siphon back out. With sacs, even though the fill is in the top, the flimsyness of the sac allows the water to be siphoned back out.
