anyone run a setup like this?

I have an 06 22ve, my setup now is a vdrive sac in each locker (400 each), the two hardtanks in the middle left and right side, then another v drive sac in the walkway, and one in the bow... With people, the wake is great and has a nice lip with the taps set at about five to six, but still a little small

I wanna take out the v drive sacs and put in 750's, keep a 400 in the walkway and then put a 1000lb triangle sac in the bow...anyone run this weighting setup before?

Sounds like it will work and your prop should handle it okay.

However, you might want to think about calling Acme to see if there is another prop that you could us that will provide you a better hole shot just in case.

There will be a limit to how much weight your boat will handle. I wouldn't go much above 3K lbs in ballast, people and gear.

An 06 22ve is rated for 11 people, my 04 switch v is rated for 9 people or 1500 lbs. I would assume the 22ve is rated around 1800 lbs (people and gear). Is adding that much ballast safe?

Well, the boats will handle a lot more than what they are rated at. The rating is based on a USCG formula using overall length and beam.

I know my boat will handle a little over 1500 lbs in ballast plus people, but too much weight and it starts to run like crap. I'd go ahead and try the extra weight and see how it runs. If it runs poorly, then back off until you get to a decent balance.

I run a setup almost like that in my 20v. I have a 750 in each locker. Only I have a 600 in the walkway and a 440 v drive sack sideways up front in the bow. No issues with running and i have the stock prop just start with ur taps on 0 unless u already do. Haha yesturday was the first time out since we plumbed in ballast puppy pumps to each back sack. It unloaded them to fast and we couldnt slow down with out the front going underwater So we had to do about 10mph till we got them unfilled. I dont thing you could run a whole lot more than that up front maybe on more sack along the backseat but that would be it

Is there any room in the vdrive comp with the 750s filled? I would like to do that as well, but I think I'd run out of room fast.

I have about 400 lbs of pop bags that I move around the boat and they don't take up that much room. It's nice for cleaning up the wake and I can move them to rear pretty quickly if we want to surf.

I'm not worried about the boat handling it I know it can, I just wondered if anyone had run that setup or if i needed more in the walkway... Tiges are pretty big here in austin and most run that setup but with a 750 in the walkway, I just don't wanna drop more money on a 750 if I can run a 400 in the isle and not worry about being to rear heavy,

Who runs a 750 in the walkway and 1000 triangle sac in the bow?? Thats alot of weight up front. I mean that would be more up front than the back. Like I said before I run a 750 in each vdrive compartment. Then a 600 and a 440 up front. So that makes like 1040 up front and 1500 in the back runs fine though the back sacs dont fill all the way up.

with people in the back why couldn't you do that, remember with tiges its always good to have a 50/50 weight distribution, that would just keep the wake a little rampier
