I have a '97, 2150. we are just getting into wake surfing. because of the hull shape, we cavitate (chop air) when the boat is weighted to one side. has anyone with the same model or hull shape dialed in the ballest to get a good surfing wake? any help is appreciated. Wate Cat, Seattle WA

What's your prop look like? Even a mildly dinged prop can cause some cavitation.
Probably cant help much with your model boat but what is you current weight placement/amount. I have found with ours that a little weight up front (500#) and most along the side and in the back (1200#), seems to work pretty good for us, and from there just fine tune it till you got it dialed in

I have a 4 blade prop in good condition. no cavitation when the boat is fully loaded. I think we are not using enough weight. we have just one 500# fat sack across the back. we have tried to weight one side of the boat to get a bigger wake. air pockets get under the other side of the hull and cause the prop to chop air. from reading other postings, I can see that we need more weight. I will get a second sack for the rear and add a third, smaller sack towards the bow. thanks
