I thought it was a typo!!! but "27" would be too fast and "17" would be too slow...

Tropical Storm "Danny" might be paying a visit as well. I am going to try and get out tonight.

I haven't even checked out the weather. My wife wanted some new countertops and I wanted tile floor in the kithen so I have been messing w/ that the past 3 wkends. Now we are doing floors, countertops and backsplash. We just did a new kitchen 11 years ago.

if you ever get down this way let me know. We have about the same boat. We can go out here until nov. and sometime Dec w/ wetsuits.

Are we living parallel lives? We did our backsplash a couple of years ago, I started the basement in January, which took me to a patio paver project due to the walkout level of the basement, ... it seems to be never ending. Definitely not enough time out on the boat this summer.

Ever get up this way? You are always welcome here too!

After the kitchen the basement is next, then I am done.
We do come up that way every once and awhile. I will let you know next time.
          Thanks

Well that might be true in Utah, but here I have been on the lake in Dec. and Jan 1. We skiied well into Nov., need wetsuits and it is cold but the water is smooth. Doesn't hurt to have a power plant on the lake either.

I have a 99 21i that really seems to labour under weighting for surfing say 1000#'s or so. It has never been the quietest of hulls but it really roars/groans when surfing, to the point we don't do it anymore. We mostly ski/board anyway so no biggie but I'm wondering if something bad is going to happen. Has anybody with this vintage of tige had this? Is it possilble that this much load tweaks the shaft/strut alignment so much it causes excess vibration? Other than redoing the shaft etc, (did it 3 summers ago), would a new prop help? Currently running 3 blade SS that was also redone at same time, could stand the boat to get up to waterskiing speeds a little faster too.

Yes a new prop would help I called and spoke with ACME, with adding that much weight you kinda need to re-prop the boat.

I have a new one coming, but it is showing up Friday and I am heading out Thursday to the lake. So I want be able to do the weight testing with it.

I live in Southern Utah and some of the best days that we've had have been Christmas eve, New Years eve and other winter holidays. As long as there is no wind, the sun is shining and with a drysuit, it's all good.

I do get some cavitation when turning in 1 directions so I just don't turn that direction.(can't remember left or right) Other then that mine runs fine. Acme did tell me an Acme 525 would work for my boat. (Dog: is this correct)
I do have a 4 blade prop on my boat, I don't really care about top speed as long as it will do 32-34 for skiing.

I can't say anything, when I lived in St. Pete I didn't go in the water w/out a wetsuit in the winter and I was in the gulf. I always thought your water over there was cold. (I laugh at that now)

out of curiosity, what rpm do you run to get 34mph? I just gps'd my speedo and I run ~3900rpm to get a true 35mph. We definitely cavitate turning right much worse than left. I may go for the 525 myself if the noise turns out to be just that, noise.

I am not sure. I usually do 30-32 mostly now. I'm older now and had 1 shoulder surgery do to waterskiing course runs.

I don't get any cavitation at the higher speeds, mine is basically at the lower speed. I figured it was because that back of the boat had so much weight in it. I really don't have that happen to often, I will get surges from time to time when surfing, all of this is at low speed and alot of weight in the boat.
