    Tige 2001 21i Weighting Configuration ??'s

How is everyone weighting the 2001 21i for wakeboarding?

What we usually do is put about 300lbs in the walkway and adjust the wake with Taps. We usually have about 5 people in the boat for extra balast as well. I recently got a 500lb sab that I was thinking about putting in teh back but I thought that would be too much weight in the back.

What do you think about putting 2 300lb sacks on the sides of the engine and a 250lb up front?

    Thanks again.

I say roll with it and let us know how it comes out? Play around with location and weights and write it down and let us know!!

I'm not a good wakeboarder but I put a 300# sac under the back seat and (2) 400# sacs one on each side of the engine. At 47 the wake is big but everyone else likes it.

Then for surfing I move both 400# sacs on the same side. I don't usually put weight up front, I get tired of swimming inside the boat.

Guess I will be the test guy.

I ordered a bunch of ballast the other day and just got a e-mail saying all the stuff I ordered its out of stock

I really wanted to get the launch pad captain chair but NO one has any in stock. If any one finds a place that has it I am all ears.

The chair seems like a great idea. I'm going to experiment with human ballast and maybe even a couple of bags of salt or sand to see what difference adding some weight makes.

Let me know what you discover and I will as well!

              Good luck.

I use a twin size air mattress and fill it up that way I can still have the back seat in place. It actually fills up perfect underneath the seat. We usually have 5 to 6 people and it puts out a big enough wake for landing out in the flats, backrolls and other intermediate tricks. you definitely can't get a pro size wake out of it though. Not sure how much the air mattress weighs when filled.

I am particularly fond of the one on the far right.

I just cleared the wake last time we were out. It seems like the when we put weight in the back the wake got wider or I just got tired of landing on my head! I already had my should redone from skiing, just don't want to go through that again.

OH! You said "At 47 the wake is big but everyone else likes it."... I thought you were talking about the speed, not anything to do with age. That's awesome about clearing the wake. With school starting I can't get anyone to get out on the boat to try different weighting configs.
