Which Fly hi sacs fit under the side seats in 07 24VE

    Hi

We have a new 24VE and have found it needs more balast for surfing. We currently have 700# sacs in each rear storage and just bought a 700# bow sac.
I would also like to add the largest standard sacs that will fit under the side seats. I store the boat in Meadview about 6 hours away so I don't have the measurements of these compartments. Does anyone know what sacs would be best for this application?
If anyone has weighting recomendations I would love to hear them. Alot of our surf time is just the wife and two sons in the boat so we are relying on fat sacs to make our wave.
    Thanks

There is someone that has put a Enzo sack in the rear locker running up to the ski lockers. That would be 1400+ lbs for you....

If the sacs are too big, it isn't a problem. Having small sac's will only restrict access to the areas to store things......

Get a ski locker sac, it's long and will fit under there.

As DeBell said, With out measuring for a custom sac, the Enzo would be the next best thing. Send a PM to Talltigeguy or Xpjim and ask them about the dimensions on their custom surf sacs.

Are you surfing with both 700#'s filled in each side or just one filled in the side you are surfing?

Thanks for the info. One thing I forgot to mention is that all four of us are goofy foot so we are surfing the starboard side. I think I will put the the longer sack in the port side for guest and and when we surf backside. Looking for a shorter sac for the starboard side under the seat.

We have tried it both ways and got better results with just one filled. With both filled and wife and kids on surf side wake was bigger but too short. This is why we are adding the front sack. I suspect that best wake will come with 300-500lbs in the front, 900-1000lbs on the surf side and 200-400lbs on the non surf side. Perhaps we will need to bump all these by a couple hundred pounds.
            Any thoughts?

More than likely you are right. The 24's are big boats and I am having problems sinking my boat to get a good wakesurf also but there are a lot of variables that we can play around with. So, good luck and don't quit trying to find that perfect wake.... That's only half the fun.... Okay, half the torture....

I have a 21v with similar configuration. What we normally do is take the V-Drive sac from the opposite side and place it on the seat on whichever side you're surfing on. On the driver's side, I run a rope from the rear cleat to the tower so I have something to strap the V-Drive sac to. On the passenger side, I just strap it to the tower leg. It works pretty well.

Don't put too much weight up front, but don't put all the weight in the back either. You'll get the best surf wake if you put the majority of the weight on and under the side seats in the cockpit. I'd recommend experimenting with people before you buy a lot of ballast bags. Then you'll know what works best for your boat. Check out the pics in my gallery. There's a pic of my son surfing behind a 22Ve. That boat didn't have any ballast, so it's all people weight. The wake was really good, so it should give you a general idea of where the weight needs to be.

                  Thanks for the advice.

I won't get back to the lake for a couple weeks but when I do I plan on doing alot of expiermenting with weight around the boat to se if we can come up with the right recepie. I will take some pics as we get it dialed in. I have to think this boat can through an outstanding surf wake.

It does, there are a couple of guys who've posted pics of their surf wakes and I'm really jealous! Check out the wakesurfing threads.

Our family all surfs goofy, I have a custom sac in the rear locker and the integrated bow sac up front with taps between 4-5. Here is a pic of our goofy wake:

I like the look of your wake. How much wt. are you running in the back, and the front? What speed do you run? Also do you find the wake gets better with a little starboard turn? The turn seems to help mine.

The integrated bow sac holds about 600-650 pounds up front.

Speed is from 9.5 to 10.5. A slight starboard turn definitely helps the wake.
The weight of my custom sac is around 1000 lbs. Here are the dimensions:

Moki, that is almost the exact dimensions of my custom sack except the 'tongue' on mine is substantially longer. My entire sac is 96 inches (I think).
                            Be excellent to one another.

I have the cooler that sits behind my driver's seat and could only go up to there. On the passenger side, I could have gone a little further but even on that side I have the sport seating, meaning that there is a captain's chair on the passenger side as well. I decided to keep both the same size to make it easier to balance out the boat when wakeboarding. I think that your sac probably holds 300 - 400 lbs more than mine.
