    Ballast wants

Okay so everytime when we are one the water we spend 10-15 minutes or so filling the sacs, and there big, "600lbs" each and so when we are finally ready the weather could change and its a major hasle for surfing and all that, and by the time the people we ride with have an automatic system and can go for around 7 minutes or so before we can go. I have been trying to convince my father to get a rival system but he feels it unnecissary. Is there only one rival system for a 22ve and if so how much is the capacity on it and how long does it take to fill and empty.

Another thing is I need more arguments and advantages to this system over the current sacs, have any of you been weary of putting one in your boat and what are your views on it now (good and bad).

You could make your own system like I am. It is like rivals. Look at the DIY rival install by talltige and just use tsunami pumps. Its a great write up in the how to section

I made my own system this winter using 3 Ballast puppies connected to 3 bags. 2 flyhigh vdrive sacks in rear an a 680lbs sac underneath the walkway. A major reason to have an automated system is that it keeps the boat dry, no more water on carpets. Also, increases boat value, easier to sell.

Bags are about 1/2 (or better) the cost of the system. If you are happy with the wake, and the bags are stow-able, then all you need are switches, wiring plumbing, etc, and you've got your automatic ballast system.
