Quick Release Valve

A couple weeks ago I picked up a couple of Skylon Fatbuddies from do420jc, great sacs, good deal, thanks.

Anyway, I found it cumbersome to attach the blue fitting, fill bag, and then remove the fitting and put in the rubber plug and screw on cap. To empty, the blue fitting has to be swapped to the other end of the pump.

I always try to "work smart, not hard" so I did some hunting around the home improvement store and come up with this. Seems to work ok so I will fix up another valve for the other sac.

I found that if you use a tube pump to vacuum out the air from the start, it will fill and empty without needing to remove the other cap to vent.

A Garden hose quick connect male nipple (2) $1.97

B Garden hose quick connect female w/shut off valve $3.98

C 3/4 Thread male/male hose adp $3.16

D Universal ballast bag fitting, comes with most pumps, fits most sacs and 3/4 thread pumps. $9.00

Everytime I see these posts on pieces for the ballast bags I immediately think of tearing down a waterbed!

Glad to see the sacs are working out for you. I did it the old fashion way and it was trying to say the least. I saw your wake on a previous thread and it looks NICE.

Yes, it is a little slow but no big deal.

Hell yeah I've had that thing about 12 yrs now and it still works fine, just wish I could hook satalite to it

thanks again do420jc, surfed a little today. Put one in the walkway and the other in the left rear locker. Wake is getting better but still need more

Was working good til my son used it as a handle to lift the bag It does fill a little slow, as anticipated, but well worth the convenience.
