    RZ2 Ballast Help????

I have just purchased my new RZ2 and am having a very dificult time with it whitewashing. This is very disappointing after being a Malibu owner for several years and virtually adding no weight to the factory ballast.
I have factory ballast and have a few sacks and cannot find the right combination.... Any ideas or results from anyone????

Welcome to the forum and congrats.

Most everyone seems to like a 60/40 back/front weight split on the v-drives and then bump the TAPS down and up till you get the wake how you like it.

Good luck and post some pics when you can

There are quite a few people on there with an RZ2. However, I am not able to but congratualations and welcome to Tige. It would be interesting once you get to know the boat and what it can do and compare it to the bu. I think Timmy! is also coming from a bu experience.

Where is it washing out? I found if I didn't weight my boat right then one side would wash out and I had to move some bodies around in the boat to get it to clean up. Once I balance the weight in the boat the wake cleaned up very nicely. I had 400 lbs up front and about 700 lbs in the back.

You definitely have the boat uneven in weight. I can run stock or close to 2000 pounds of ballast with no wash at all.

Here is my setup with a few people dispersed in the boat:
            350 in each rear compartment
250-300 up front in the walkway
            And the 900 stock ballast.

Here is my setup with just a driver and one rider:
            about 150-200 in starboard side
            350 in port side
250-300 up front in the walkway
            and the 900 stock ballast.

My speed can range anywhere from 21-23mph, TAPS anywhere bewteen 5-7. That will create a clean and consistent wake.

Post your weight, speed, and TAPs configuration so we can help you out.
