Fat Sac thread size

What is the thread size Fat Sac uses for their fill and drain fittings? It looks very close to 3/4” NPT, but it must not be. Thanks.

Sorry to be pedantic about this, but the two standards in the US are NPT ("National Pipe Tapered" thread) and NPS ("National Pipe Straight" thread). These acronyms are burned into my brain because the use of straight threads has caused us so many Engineering challenges over the years. Grrrrrrr.

NPS is also seen on many thruhulls, and there it kinda makes sense because hulls have differing thicknesses that must be accommodated. In fact, the most convenient thruhulls have a combination of NPT at the end and NPS at the bottom. The NPS section permits any hull thickness to be handled, while the NPT portion means you can screw standard fittings to it and achieve a watertight fit (which does not happen with straight threads). The nut passes easily over the NPT portion and then screws normally on the NPS portion.

There are BPT and BPS ("British") metric equivalents from the UK as well, which mean exactly what you'd expect. And no, they are not compatible with the NP? threads. "The nice thing about standards is there are so many different ones to choose from."

Don't even get me started on 1-1/8th hose....

Same argument regarding 1-1/8th hose. We already had 1in hose, and 1-1/4 hose. Are bilge pumps so incredibly picky that they just HAD to create this bastardized intermediate size for which there are no standard fittings in any pipe, hose, or plumbing systems? It just wasn't possible to design a bilge pump that could use 1in hose? Or 1-1/4in hose? SERIOUSLY??? {bangs head on wall}
