Ballast draining problem

I have recently developed a problem draining the starboard bow ballast on my '14 RZR. It will fill properly, but attempting to drain can be a real problem. The pump IS running, and if I remove the cushion and push on the bag, the tone of the hum changes. If I play with turning if off and on enough, it eventually starts, buts its becoming more and more difficult. I believe the pumps are tsunami's. Any ideas?

Sounds like it's either not priming well enough or the cartridge itself within the pump may need to be replaced. The change in noise is usually the water hitting the internal impeller.

Pump orientation or twisted or collapsed hose between pump and sac. Also make sure the sac is not folder over, closing off the port.

I discovered that the fill hose was kinked in half (I guess that explains the overflow less than other three) and the drain pump laying on top of the bag. I assume since it is a gravity type drain system, the pump should be as low as possible. Every hose on that bag seems to be excessively long. I cut about 18” off the fill line. It now fits nicely without any coils or loops. One the othe lines, at least that much can be cut. is there any reason for the additional length? It seems it can only cause kinking problems. The three ports on the bow, one is for venting, one for draining, and the third is for what? Overflow?

Fill, drain, vent/overflow are the only 3 ports needed. Yes, the drain pump needs to be as low as possible. on top of the sac wont work for sure.
