What times are you using in your Z3/R23 for ballast timers?

I took our R23 out for the break in run and of course had to sneak in a surf sesh afterwards despite the water being in the low 40s! I was told I didn't want to fill the bow ballast all the way maybe just 50 or 75 percent. Filling the bags on the timers in the bow, they overflowed for about half the time the timer was set for so I figured if after they were full if i emptied the bag to 50 percent they would be about completely empty. This left me guessing how much was in them. It doesn't seem like the factory setting fill and empty times are accurate. If you've found this also what have you changed your times to? Or perhaps it was just a fluke since it was the first time?? Or do you just hit the fill button and not use the timers at all? What's easiest?

Every boat could be a little different on the fill times. If they are overflowing that quickly, check to make sure that you don't have a twisted bag. Time how long it takes your bags to overflow and then add about 30 seconds to that time when you change your settings. Fill time can also vary a little if engine on or off. ( a little faster when running)

I will do that. Good point on different times with engine running vs not.

Once you are happy with your fill and empty times, take a photo of the screen with your phone before it goes into the shop for service. I’ve found my TT2 resets to stock timing every time the computer gets flashed
