Being honest to going level with suck gate or listed, I figured what the hell and get the transfer pump and then I am good regardless what my final set up is. I will let you know once I complete the install. I’m almost done plumbing and about to start the wiring.

To be totally honest I prefer the wave that I get running listed. It’s a bit steeper and has more of a lip. To me it isn’t so much better that it outweighs the benefits of going more or less level with a suck gate though. It’s more comfortable for everyone and it only takes a couple minutes to transfer ballast and the suck gate.

After reading the advice on Tigeowners, I decided to install a 4 bag, 3 pump ballast system in my 2000 Tige’ 2100V. I purchased my ballast system from Mike at Mikes Liquid Audio (704) 616-4749. As others on here have said, Mike is awesome! You tell him what you are looking to do and he’ll put together a complete system for you. Mike said it would take approximately two weekends to install and he was correct. Along the way, I had to call him to ask questions, and he took the time to explain it to me. I installed two thru hull intakes in the engine compartment. It was tight, but if you measure accurately, it can be done with room to spare. I installed two of the pumps against the seats in the rear compartment and the third in the compartment on the passenger side. I mounted my pump switches next to the throttle quadrant. That panel is plywood covered by upholstery. I have two 350# bags in each rear compartment, one 275# bag under the bench seat and two 150# bags (plumbed together) in the bow. With the check valves installed on the vent lines (easy installation), the pumps will push water out when the bags are full and suck the bag dry when empty. I installed a three way valve on the port side pump to fill the bag under the bench seat. It takes approximately seven minutes to fill/drain the bags. I can attest to what others have said on here: Why did I wait so long to install an automated system? Anybody with basic mechanical skills can install it and save a ton of money. I surf at 10.5 mph with a Mission Delta installed. My surfboard is a Inland Surfer Blue Lake and I weigh 215#.44059D92-3DFB-4FC0-9A6A-72DEFDEFD9D0.jpg

I don’t know why the photos came out that way, but the system works great. Here’s a few more photos. The first two photos show the vent lines and thru hull hardware. There is plenty of room to install them pretty much wherever you want. The next few photos show the bag after draining. The check valve in the vent line allows the bag to be sucked flat. The last two photos show the circuit breaker panel I installed next to the switch panel.
