Id suggest a custom surf sac or two for the rear locker(s). You could do 1 and manually fill it if you occasionally surf both sides, or 2 if you often surf both sides. They can be plumbed in but not piggybacked to the factory plumbing. Best to manually fill them or plumb them in with their own pump systems.

This would give the boat about 1100 lbs in the locker in addition to the factory 250 lb hard tank.

Mike, Do you think you could give me an estamate on what the custome surf sacs and new pumps would cost? I have all the equipment needed to plumb them together.

Been a LONG time since I been on here but just wanted to let Dustin know that I doubt anyone has personally done as many installs in a 22VE boat as Mike/Chpthril and his service and support is second to none! He helped me out a ton with my ballast install and I bought all my stuff from him.

Your customer will be very happy with that 22VE wave.
Mods: MLA BIG Ballast System (1800+ Custom sacs, 2 500 W705 sacs under bow), Duffy Surf Flap Mod, Trimmed Swim Deck, Top-Mount Starter

If you wanna max it out you should lose the 250 stock tanks. Remove the batteries and battery box(s), build a new rear locker wall, move the batteries behind the rear wall, and get the big custom sized bags Chpthril sells. You’d basically be gutting the stock system except for the switches and wiring. New pumps would be a must if you wanted to get any kind of a decent fill/drain rate on the new big bags.
Pretty sure Chpthril has a bag that’s custom designed to “step” over the top of the battery box if you wanted to keep the stock setup.
Ultimately it depends whether the customer wants an epic wave or just good and if their willing to pay a little extra for it.

                        Hello,
Looking for info of what you just commented on. I live south of you off of Hebgen. I'm tearing through my system this winter and am looking into any modes I can update. I have a fully customized 07 RZ2 with Taps 3, ya. that's right! What taps plate you speak of? I also would like to reorganize my rear lockers as well. I have all stock rear walls, three battery system, hard ballast, etc. Along with added Z shaped bags that rock! They're huge, both sides, big gpm pumps. It's really a Surf boat but do ski occasionally.
Any help would be great. It's winter and time for boat projects!
Happy Holidays to all and thank you for such an informative and insightful forum

                          Taps 3 on a 2007?! Do tell! I’m interested in possibly doing a 2007 22ve and a 2012 RZ2.
