    Subfloor rear tank capacity

    Hey guys.
    Know there is a better way to find this out but I know someone here knows. Probably Mike. Have heard a couple different #s thrown out there....

    What is the weight capacity of rear tanks in the z3s in that 12-13 model year range. Curious as well what z1s capacity is, but not as important to me.

    Also, I've seen some literature that makes it sound like tsunamis performance decrease with long hose runs. Anyone able to confirm or deny this, and if it's true anyone have any solid numbers on GPH decrease based on hose length. Would seem like length wouldnt effect as much as elevation change in line.

    Tige has advertised those hard tank capacities @ 250#. Having not done any actual capacity test on them, but having timed fill times, I will say the OEM advertised capacity was close enough for gov work.

    The surf and pro level sac have been rated at 350 lbs. Based on their shape and dimensions, the rated 350 is close enough.

    With aerator pumps, we can expect 20% to 25% decrease in flow rate at the sac due to head pressure. Length means more water weight to push and height means fighting gravity.

      Thanks Mike. Had a feeling you would know. Have a customer who's been upset with his fill times(He says it's 15 -20 minutes per side on rears). Told him I don't think that's far off as he's gone to custom L bags that are probably around 1250# on top of tanks under floor, but I want to be able to do some math to prove it to him without doubt. Especially when factoring in a decrease in rated flow for length and head pressure.
      He's running it with the Ronix shaper so is weighting evenly. Been kicking around ideas to decrease fill times.
      Been thinking 2 reversible mounted at back seat on engine side or possibly to the plastic panel that is next to removable engine panel. Another ideas I'm not thinking off??

        Yep, if he's upgraded to a larger L shaped sac, then 15+ mins is about right.

        We've T off existing thru-hulls and added a 2nd aerator to run in tandem with the original pump. double the flow rate,

          Thanks Mike. As usual you are the man.

          Like the idea of doubled up aerators. I'm such a fan of reversibles. Obviously not the cheapest option, but they are just so nice. I will beat the jabsco drum all day. I have one thay I "re-furbished" and use it to pump water out of rain water collection drums I've set up that gets abused and does great.
          Actually have a Johnson that we've used our our wint setup for three years that you can't kill. Yes they go thru impeller, but I can handle that.
