    RZX2 Ballast Tweaking

    Hey All

Just trying to get a handle on amping up my surf wave on my new 2017 RZX2. Trying to maximize the potential and get the best out of this sweet machine!

Big thanks to elevatedconcept for going above and beyond with advice, ideas and some contacts to help me out!

To all that are interested: I'm running 400hp with the 3000lbs stock ballast + 500 pnp in each rear locker. I've just ordered 700lbs of extra weight from leadwake.com (great customer service) to help out with the weighting. Additionally, elevated concepts gave me a contact @Acme Props for guidance on that. They suggested I change my 15" prop with 121/2 pitch to a 15" prop with 101/2 " pitch. I'll likely put in the extra weight, play with settings etc before I make this modification.

Happy to keep anyone posted who's interested...

    Cheers
    Chris

Although acme is saying stay with a 15, I would measure like we talked about. Whatever prop you have on now and the distance between the hull. Go to a 15.5 or a 16 if possible then have acme give you an idea on pitch. My guess would be a 16x13 or 14

I'm running 400lbs in the bow in lead and 300 in each rear locker and I don't even fill my pnp bags and it's pretty sweet

Regarding the prop. I'd contact john at redline watersports to see if he has any of his props left in stock. I got mine for an amazing deal. Just stop buy and ask him in person, he no longer uses the old contact info.
