    2013 RZ2 Ballast piping Question

What year did Tige start using 1 1/8 in piping? I thought I had 1in ID piping, but it looks like I have the larger diameter. Thanks

2012 to 2013. I think there where some very early 2013 model boats that still used the .75" hose. They went from .75" hose to 1.125"

Thanks Mike - Any idea where I can pick up some - I don't think Lowes carries it.

None carries 1 1/8 unfortunately. I've piped one of my rear ballast 1 month ago. My stock piping is 1 1/8 and I bought 1inch Fitting and ose. Had no choice because the only option to have 1 1/8 fitting is to order directly from tige or Wakemakers.
Regular 1inch plastic fitting funded at lowes works well you just have to put some tefflon or electric tape on the fitting. Make sure you rounding the tape tight and the 1 1/8 ose is correctly entered. Put a metal collar on each and tight it well. For a even better job you can heat your ose a little bit just before tighten your collar that will make the collar and the ose really take the fitting diameter. Don't forget to surround each collar too with tape or shrink to make a perfect finish and no chance to cut any bags.
I put 3 "T" fitting and 1 check valve all 1inch and everything works well. no leaks on any.

        Good luck!

Yes, I know where to get 1.125" ballast hose and Tige or that other place are NOT the only option.

I mostly use 1" hose because 1" can fit over the 1.125" fittings, but you cant make 1.125" hose crimp down on a 1" fitting. Because 1.125" is an oddball fittings size, a typically ballast system can have a mix of 1" and 1.125" fittings. This is why I prefer to use the 1" hose.

There a few occasions where we know that we can use the 1.125" all the way around though.

Any easy way to hook up 1.125 hose to my 3/4" threaded aerator pumps?

We (WakeMAKERS) have not been able to source a fitting to reduce an 1-1/8" hose barb to the 3/4" thread found on aerator pumps. chpthril is right. Just as easy to convert to 1" and heat the hose in order to get it over the larger barbs.
