What I found with my 2016 R20 on goofy side we 50%the front and 100% the rears. I surf normal and found 50% fronts and 100% surf side rear and 90% on the offside rear. That's with a small crew in the boat. This summer I am thinking I will 100% the rears and try putting more weight on the surf side front to see if that makes a difference. Also planning on some lead maybe 250lbs in each rear locker.

Have you figured this out yet? I also started out with the broadcast 5'4" and after getting the wave dialed in my legs get tired from have to keep the brakes on because there is a ton of push. But my boat is back at the shop and they are installing a third taps 3 system 2018 version it wasn't working on our first run of the season.

Same hull and TAPS3 here and just wanted to update for anyone trying to dial in a 20 footer. We have been running stock ballast completely full(1600lbs) and starting at 4 on Taps and 4 on Surf sometimes adjusting from there. Decent wave but a little temperamental. I purchased some sumo sucks. 650lbs that we put on the floor. Basically fills the entire floor area and a 675lb bow triangle. Its always just the driver in the boat when the other is surfing. We tried for a while all kinds of settings on taps to get a wave going with this and could not. We tried draining the front stock 400lbs and the wave cleaned up nice. so we had 1200 in the rear, 650 midship and 675 in the bow. My point here is to confirm, at least in my experience, you can have too much weight up front since we couldn't get a nice wave even with taps at 8. Next thing I'll try is to keep midship 650 and stack the 675 bow bag on back seat and on top of 650 bag then use the stock 400 in the bow again. I have a feeling this will be much better. I also have 200lbs lead coming to play with. Hopefully we'll get a nice small crew system figured out soon.

Pics? I never had the best luck with Center weight in the r20. Bow and rear was where it needed it.

Not sure if this will work. Screenshot of video is the best I could do. Its decent but I know we can get it better.

Riding a 52" CWB Habit. Much more fun than our 64" Hyperlight broadcast.

Update: Sorry no pics of this but had 3 guys and myself out the other day. stock ballast full and no additional ballast. The two extra guys sat way in the back on the surf side which caused the bow to be much higher than normal and the boat to list much further over than normal. The wave was shorter but just massive. It was soo easy to recover and stay in the wave. I am now convinced max weight on the rear is best. Hope this helps someone.
