Here is a pic from today, I have an 08 RZ4 with stock 250# hard tanks and a pair of 750# bags from chpthril full with a Ronix Wakeshaper. No weight in the bow. I had myself and 5 passengers. It is not picky about seating for most riders but prefers a little more weight on the surf side for me on the goofy side (I am 6'1" 250#). The wave is up to my waist and has enough push for me to ride with my back foot in the curl. I am more than happy with my setup and since getting the Wakeshaper, I have stopped thinking about a new boat. We can switch sides as fast as we trade riders and get a great wave on both sides.
Taps is set at 1 in this pic, we have not gone over Taps at 3 because it shortens the wave, but if you want a giant wall of water, Taps 8 will do just that.

The RZ4 needs weight, 2000# total in the rear works for me.

Another note, my 15 yr old son can ride on the goofy side through a sweeping left u turn, never would have thought of that before getting the wedge.

I have the stock 08 swim deck, it is Apache lake east of Phoenix AZ. We go there because of how amazing the views are and because the road in keeps out a lot of lake lice and tubers. Most of the the people that go there have been going for decades with their family.

My Vin says 08 on it but my title says 07 but rz4 did not come out till 08 I think I have one of the first ones built . My deck is square and is almost as wide as the boat.

I have the same swim deck, it really effects the goofy side when you list the boat for a wave, another reason I like the wake shaper, keeping the boat flat helps keeps the swim deck out of the wave.

I haven't noticed any extra water getting in.

So today was terrible. I used suckgate I moved weight all around boat had 5 guys in boat still no push and wake is short . I put almost 2000# in corner didn't work put counter weight didn't work used Suck Gate when listed still nothing . I ran 1000# on each side with Suck Gate nothing I'm frustrated with this situation. 20160712_201436.jpg

If you ran 100o in each corner, how much bow weight?

You should easily be making a wave evenly weighted with 1000 in each rear locker, if that is indeed where you are putting the weight.

Fill the bow sacs full and set taps at 4 to start, Should get something fun with that.
