What is your weight? Have you ever tried a ringer by chaos? My big buddies rip on it.

If you are looking for a non permanent swim platform mod. A friend glassed over some wood and then Put hydro turf on top. Looks good.

225#. I tried to hook up with Justin and get a Ringer XL but he could not source one. He then sent a Carbon Sixer to me instead, but I could not make it work without a lot of work and/or hugging the swim deck. From there I grabbed a WP Bazooka, which is pretty solid. Someday I would like to ride a Ringer XL for sure.

225 isn't super big, I have buddies getting air on my ringer and my chaos pro.

Not sure why I called Nick "Justin" but oh well.

It must be because I am a crappy surfer? I am 225# in my birthday suit. Probably 235# with all the other crud on.

My first summer surfing. I am sure it will improve.

Don't let your weight discourage you. I'm anywhere from 225-230 lbs most days and found a new love in my 4'10" blunt nose honu this summer. Just like wakeboarding not everyone that participates in these sports are a buck 80 and able to ride ankle high waves.lol. Once you get the right combo of wave and board you'll be good to go.

dakota4ce: Proof that at 230lbs you can still get in the air. Not the biggest as I'm still learning and figuring it out but don't let weight hold ya back!

I may have to try bumping up my speed. You guys say you are running at close to 12-13 mph. We run at 10.3 with 1850 surf corner, 600 in front. Great wave, huge, but not super long.

masongardner: When I first started this season and all last season we rode at 10.8 mph. This year I have been bumping it up and we now mostly ride at 11.2 mph. If I have a few extra people in the boat I may further bump it but so far I have been liking the 11.2 mph.

By speeding up you will get the length you are looking for. The speed also helps us big guys by moving more water under the board.

I was surfing at 12.2-12.5 yesterday. Water was glass and the wave was long and tall Life was great!

My boat only goes 12.2, we've tried every speed out there and it's always the best there
