2009 Z1 ballast filling issues...Poor Prime?

I have a 2009 Z1 and have problems with the ballasts filling and think it may be a priming issues. Has anyone had issues and if so what was the resolution?

Are your pumps located in the hull below the floor by the Vdrive itself? I assume so. The water should have enough pressure to get to the pump impeller to pump the water but sometimes it is an issue for myself as well for whatever reason. On my one side I sometimes have to disconnect the fill line and suck on it to get the water going. Air can get trapped between the thru hull and the pump.

In most cases like this, the pumps need to be rotated a little in order to reorient the direction of the outlet. In other cases, we have seen poorly placed check valves holding air in the system, creating the air lock. Post pics if you can
