    20V ballast setup

I for the life of me cannot get the wake dialed in. I have tried playing with the speed and taps and just can't seem to get enough push. I have 800lbs in rear locker and 400lbs in bow. Anyone who has some input I would appreciate it.

I have a 20V and use about 400-500 lbs in the rear locker, 350 in the walk way to the bow and then I have a 155 lb cube bag that I move wherever I need extra weight. the girls in the boat go about 9.5-9.8 mph and the guys are around 10.0-10.6. TAPS is usually around a 4-5. I think one problem you are having is what I had as well. You have way too much weight in that rear locker which pushes the back corner down too much which in turns drags the platform in the water too low and it washes out your wake. Try less weight in that back locker. just my 2 cents.

how many people do you usually have in the boat, what are their approximate weights and how are you placing them in the boat. There are always tweaks here and there with number of people. Everyone knows when I don't have a wave to ask me where to move to. Every situation is different. And on my 20V......I amable to get a better wave on the starboard side (drivers side). Was told it's because the way Tige' boats work. Don't know.. but it is definitely the case on mine.

We do ~500 lbs in rear port locker, three adults on port bench, and either a 200 lb bag in the bow or another passenger or two up there. 10.3-10.5 taps at 3-4.

The above set up puts off this wave. Not huge like the Z3 guys but very surfable without the rope.

I normally have four adults and two kids. Weights vary from 120lbs-220lbs depends who comes out that day, kids are 11 year old and 4 year old. We are all regular footed. I put two 400 lbs launchpads stacked on top of each other in rear port locker. I don't get them both to fill up completely so I am thinking combined only 600-700lbs. I put a 300lb bag in the walkway of the bow. I have another 300lb bag that I can use if I don't have the adult weight that I put on the port side bench.

I will try some of the suggestions this weekend. Last weekend weather was bad at Lake Mead

Went out yesterday and played with the weight and speed. My buddy was able to go wireless but not for very long. I will keep playing with the location of the weight. It was just myself and the rider so we didn't shift weight as much as I wanted but we made a lot of progress.

Also have a 2006, 20V. I used to fight the wake as well before upgrading to an automated system and custom bags...

500lb in the bow walkway (fills up to the same height as the seats so its like a center bow cushion)
1200lb ENZO sack in the port locker/seats
200lbs of lead to move around

Starboard side has my stereo battery at about 95lbs and the ice-chest which is roughly another 30-50 lbs depending on the beer qty.

I usually don't fill up the port bag all the way since it tends to wash out no matter what TAPS is at (so lets say 1000lbs). What I found is bow/middle weight is the key for the 20V. You can use the taps to adjust height of the wake, but if you need more push, you need more middle/bow weight.

Typically only ride with 2-3 people (100+180+200). I like to ride with TAPS on 1 at 10.4, my lady rides on 3-4 at 9.8-10.0

My Guess is that you need To eather speed up A bitt or take less weight. But it's A Guess.. Might be wrong too
