RZ2 Has No Push

Starting to get it. We had a awesome wave last night. Still not quite getting the rub rail in the water so i know we can do better. But its close and the wave has plenty of push.

Last night we ran
-One 400LB sac in the bow walkway
- surf side filled around 1000lbs
- 2 guys on the surf side and another guy on the non surf side
- Speed 11mph
- Taps 4

I ended up only using the fiberglass, not the fiberglass mat. Filled the edges first before I glassed it, I tried to glass it first but there were to many air bubbles. No pictures of that process once I got into it it was a marathon and didn't pick up the camera. Lots of info on the web about fiberglass. Started at the top then glassed down, flipped it over trimmed it did the other side. I think about 8 or 9 layers. Skimmed with body filler for a smooth image. Took about 2 weeks from layout to finished product. Not including the plywood deck testing.

A couple of finished pictures, I did gel coat it but is a little soft it needs to be taken down again and resprayed. I did the round corners because I didn't like how the squared off corners looked.

The first cut is the hardest too. No going back, is it the right size, shape etc... It turned out perfect, it is an all day wave.

Your wave looks great, I took a lot of info from the forums here. Did tons of reading, took a lot from these members specifically ragboy, adamsjstt, skippabcool, chpthril, glassmaker, there are others too so many.

Weight would be MLA big ballast 1100 on the port-side 6 adults, 300-400lbs on the off side (starboard side) plus one adult there 150ish plus driver. 400lb bag on the front port-side under the seat. (girls in the front). I find if I am getting prop spray on the wave then move an adult to the weighted side.
With her Taps at 3.5, speed 10.8.

What are the chances you could trace that platform out on a piece of paper and send it to me? I have a friend who owns a custom fiberglass shop so I could just have him make me one.

Sorry didn't see this post my boat is outside under a tarp I will get out on the weekend and get the exact measurements. The reason I made it this size and shape was my nephews Centurion Falcon V's swim deck is small and totally rounded on the corners. It is also the boat I learned to surf on really fun short and steep wave, only surfs the starboard side though. I don't even notice that mine is smaller now.

Here a basic MS Paint drawing of my deck measurements.
I had to make decisions (not necessarily rash) about the deck on the fly because of its shape off the back of the boat. I made sure that there was a 1/2" material between the edge of the deck and the mounting bracket. I also wanted the trailing edge of the deck as narrow as I could get it but still looking aesthetically pleasing. I used a snare drum practice pad for the rounded corner
