We just picked up our new Z1 with the Surf X and adaptive VX package(s) and haven't had it on the water yet. While I'm waiting on good weather. I wanted to learn a bit more about the Surf X and AVX.
Couple of questions come to mind....
1. I understand that the ballast system uses timers to fill and empty the tanks / bags. In the "user setting" section of the TT, what should the default times be to load and unload the ballast? They're currently set at 11+ seconds (unloading a bit linger), but since this boat was used at boat shows, I don't know if those are the right settings or if someone was playing with the settings.
2. How do the bags interact with the tanks?
3. Does it fill the tanks first, then automatically go to the bags, or how does that transition work?
4. Same question when it's emptying, which goes first? Does it empty the bags first, then the tanks?
5. Any guidance on the AVX operation? Should the plate move while it's sitting on the trailer, or does the boat need to be in motion?
Any words of advice or caution that I should know?
We're coming from a older I/O so all this is new....
Thanks in advance!
