Sorry... I haven't tested surf wave yet.. As soon I do I send some pics and toughts. My guess is that the effect is smaller cause in slow speed the pockets sit deep under waterline.. But still offcourse there will be some difference..
I have the exact same boat. Maybe I will do this sparypockets thing... Its a little scary though. How much did you spent doing that, may I ask?
Another thing, did you find a ballast bag that fits under the bow seats? I was thinking about installing one there and another one on the corridor. I already have two 600 lbs on the rear lockers.
And then maybe get a big one to put on the middle. What do you think?
Sorry but info about surf wave goes to next summer.. Did not have change to test it before we lift the boat out the water this season. The price for the spraypockets job.. About 1000€. During winter... Sumo 900 set to backlockers, under floor in front of the gas tank xgames sack +500-600lbs. And in the bow the triangle sack +1000lbs. Puppy pumps for those all. Will send pics during winter..
Yeps I deffenetelly think the spraypockets is THE thing!! Wake comes to alive SOOOUUU much better after you do them(when weighted) About the sacks... Till now I have use in front the Triangle fat-sack(1000lbs)+ Iron weight in corridor/locker under windshield 250kg DSC_0772.jpg
During winter will do Some serious tunning in the bow are so that I can hide the triangle sack under the seats - will fill/lift the corridor in front in level of the seats. Also will add the Fly High Pro X Series Center Locker/Rear Seat Sac (580 lbs) under the floor (in front of the gas tank) and add the puppy pump for those two in front.
In the back I will do some smaller tunning. There in back lockers I will put the sumo 900Lbs sacks with puppy pumps. For that I need to swap the battery and the Taps(motor) somewhere else to get room for the 50" length sacs.
Let see in next summer how it goes and how much people can jump in when sacs are full. I hope/belive it´s maybe 4-5 without broplems front dipping, planning etc.. "overload" things. (I have now acme 1433 prop) and think with +3000lbs in boat it do it´s job okay. DSC_1022.jpg
There´s some pics too of my last summer set up.. The iron weight are 50kg/each. In back lockers there was 2 of those in both sides of the engine and just in front of the engine(under seats one more in each side. Then over those I got the oldschool fat-sacks(600lbs) but they did not fill up completely cause they are too long for the lockers..DSC_0756.jpg
Yeps, I will remove the tank for installation if not make locker hole to the floor.. Not deside yet.. You can find the dimensions of the sack from wakemakers site with the name of the sack.. FH xseries center sack aprox. 550-600lbs. It fit perfectly under the floor..
Okay.. Now the max is achived.. (the way I think about it) handling in turns get bad and you need speed minium 23+ 24mph. It,s about 3900lbs extra for basic 21v riders edition boat.. Back lockers customised for 1100lbs. Bags. Bow walkway/under floor 550lbs. Bow 1000lbs. Upgrade sound system some what +100lbs. 120lbs. Moveable Iron weight. No passengers gas tank full. Past autum we ride the boat with some what 3200-3300lbs. And it went great! So that we try next ride.. I will send some pics and also feels of the the surf wave
Okay, get best out of this boat.. Do following 1500lbs in front after that put back lockers enough to dip swimplatform top some what 2" under water. (Spraypockets filled in the hull) backlockers are some what 750 lbs. Both then.
Somebody ask about spraypockets fill impact to the surf wave too. I think it give you more ability to tune the wave pocket way longer. And thicker. We did not try out yet but I belive pocket is now long enough to ride as double. Two surfers same time same side of the wave
Wow that looks great!!! How much weight were you running in that video? And how many people on board? Looks like the spray pocket fix was worth the time!
Ballast in some what 3000-3500lbs. Including crew. There is pretty much 1500lbs. I front/bow and same i back lockers. Crew in the side. Two adults. + 120lbs. Iron weight.
