Need some repair or replace ballast bag help

Just picked up our new (to us) 2008 24Ve and it has a factory ballast system. We knew going in that there was a problem with the front bag, the previous owner who was meticulous in every aspect of his boat told us about it so there were no surprizes. My boy took the sac out and located the problem and since I am still overseas I am looking for help on either repair options or replacement. I included a few pictures that he took.

An overlaid patch might be the only way to repair it. To replace, you need a Fly High W711 IBS, 3 W736 male sac fittings and 3 W742 female quick-connects.

That is a high stress area to patch. Not sure it would hold. Personally I would replace it.

chpthril is the site ballast expert and has the best prices around. On second thought I'd do what he recommended!!

My 2008 Z failed the same way last year and I went with the Fly High sac from Chp! Simple change and peace of mind.

no more than that sac costs i'd replace as its kinda like an air mattress, once they wear in one spot the rest of it is going to give also. that would be a pretty hard area to get repaired and wouldn't be worth the amount of water you would have in the front compartments if and when it gives out. It might be tearing there due to the angle of the quick connect. Might reroute the hose going to it to prevent it from happening again.

Don't mess with it. PM Chpthrill directly.

Then after your kid gets everything cleaned up and checked out, send that boat out to California, I'll get it all dialed in for you!!!!!

Another vote to work with Chpthril, he can get you hooked up. I would replace it as well as to not have to worry about it or have it ruin a vacation or just a trip to the lake.

I thought there were dual bags that will work in the Ve bow and the price is just slightly more than the single V sac. I don't think there is much benefit to having separate sides in the bow, but you may want to consider that option. You should already have the L & R fill and drain pumps.
