Z1 w/VX and custom sacs anyone?

We are running a 2013 Z1 with the factory Pro Ballast and the Convex VX. Since getting the new brackets the surf wave/pocket has improved greatly. We are reading and hearing alot that we shoudl add the custom (Enzo?) sacs that fill up under the seat. Before jumping into this, is anyone running these sacs in their 2013-2014 Z1 with the VX. If so, please provide your feedback and pics if possible. I have attached photos of our wave from this past weekend with our current set up.
    Front full both sides
    Surf side (port) rear full
    Speed around 10.8

Wave looks good! The VX loves weight! With that said if you have seen RagBoy's/Wake9 video of all the VX's Z1, Z3, RZ2, RZR they added 300lbs over stock surf ballast and that was the result in the waves. Except the Z3 was their competition weighting. If you think about it, you are extending your hull by 2 feet. You are going to need more weight in order to get more pocket and a taller wave.

I would suggest adding the new sacs. If you add the W005 sacs you are going to go from 600lbs in either corner to 1180lbs in either corner. Almost double your weight! The best part is its still all integrated into your Tige touch. There is nothing that bothers me more than having to get out a pump and move bags around. We have been doing that all summer since adding the VX to our RZR.

I Just ordered some sacs from Mikes Liquid Audio username on here chpthrill. Until the new custom sacs for the 20's are done. I will then load these off to my dealer for adding into a Z1 they are working on.

I have never regretted adding more weight to any boat I have owned. Most times when I add weight I ask myself, why didn't I add more? LOL Then I order bigger sacs yet. Here I am going on the approach of fill times and what we have tested and I think we are going to be spot on with what we have coming from Mike.

Here is a video of our RZR and the new 2014 brackets that got installed last week. What a difference!!!!

Thanks! Stock surf ballast. Both sacs up front 100%, port side 100%. Taps 5 and 10.6mph. Wife driving and 10 year old daughter flag and rope. That is it. Loved every minute of it. This is showing in my mind that the 21' and 20' Tiges really benefit from the VX!

having ridden dandy's boat(first experience behind a z1-tige hit it out of the park with that boat), the wave had plenty of height and the length was good, just needs a tad more weight for more push. would be interesting to compare a z1 with a stuffed rear locker vs the "enzo" style sacks to see if you can get enough weight in the rear without losing all the storage under the seat.

2nd the chpthril plug. he hooked me up with my gear with great service too boot...

I'm sure Robert will chime in soon. We have a 2013 Z1 with VX. We spent last weekend with Robert and the Wake9 crew -which was awesome, they are a great group. We put the Wake9 bags (Z3 bags) in our Z1 and spent 3 days on Oroville. The wake was fantastic! Check out Wake9's website, at the bottom in their flicker photos, there is a whole set of our boat. Also, in the video from RJ's birthday, RJ's goofy side Allie-Oop is on the Z1 with this setup.

However, with those bags, you need more weight in the front, especially for the goofy side. We are adding 400lbs on top of the pro ballast.

I am going to make a set of bags not quite as big as the Z3 bags for the Z1. The wake was great but I don't think that much weight was optimum. The new bags will give you back a bit more storage on the regular side and make a great wake on the Z1. If there are 5 guys that want them, I can get them quickly.

I'm interested. What's the price shipped? If you could get them in the next week or two that would be great as the season here in MN is drawing to a close. Thanks!

There it is! That wake looks sick! I love seeing people getting the same results.

We have now measured and are making the Z1 specific sacks. Then on to RZ4/RZ2, RZR/R20....

Great looking wake, what was your setup? Doesn't take much does it?

@ragboy, on the Z1 sacs you are getting made, will you have additional ports in it for a crossover pump or to install additional fill/drain pumps? If you can make sure to post when they become available or let us know how to get on a contact list regarding them. Thanks!

Thanks Ragboy! No it doesn't take much. It is the same wave every time. It only gets better when we have body ballast in the boat.

Our setup 2013 RZR with VX(Corrected Brackets 4.75"s measurement), Stock surf ballast with Fly High Plug and Play W4004's in the back. 100% full both sacs up front, Surf side VLocker 100%. Taps 5. All done by TigeTouch.

Driver + two adults on Surf Side in this video but most of our stuff is just my wife driving and my 10 year old daughter on Surf side and rope duty.
