Johnson Pump

I was thinking of throwing a ski locker bag under the front bow cushion insert of my boat, and pack it away when not used.

Could I simply install a Johnson pump say closer to the rear of the boat and use only 1 hose to fill and to empty? Do the reversible pump impellers prevent the bag to passively draining?
