Paddle wheel hole

I have an 01 2100v. I was curious if anyone has ever used the hole where the paddle wheel goes through the hull for their ballast intake. I updated to pp stargazer so i don't need the paddle wheel. I don't really like the idea of drilling new hole if i don't have to. Thanks for the help.

dont see why it would be an issue. just get the right size hull thru to fill it! personally I think its a great idea to save drilling a hole!

I wonder if anyone has done it. Or at least knows the size of the hole they made to install it. I don't want take apart and not have a boat until the parts come.

only issue I see if I reacall is that speed wheel is kinda oblong or at least my 20v's was?
