Brand New Z1!!! need help with weighting for surfing

I have a new Z1 with the 1600lbs surf ballast system and the convex vx. I have weighted the boat to get 9 degrees of list and I find that I don't have enough push in the wake. I'm 200lbs and run the surf side full front and rear and add fill the non surf side to get my list to 9 degrees I'm running the taps around 3-4 and played with all of the taps 1-8 and find its best around 3-4. I also have been playing with the speed between 10-11.2mph. Im wondering if Im doing something wrong or if I just need to go out and buy some custom sacks? If you suggest sacks what should I get?

We have a new Z1 with VX as well. We have the pro ballast bags in the front now, but started with the surf ballast. We've got 45hrs on the boat already, so have been playing with different setups. So far we are liking both front bags full, rear surf full, we add 2 400lb bags under the surf side seats, then add off side weight to get a clean wave. Today was our first day out with the pro ballast in the front.

The 2 400lb bags don't quite fill all the way (maybe 600lbs total), but the combination should be pretty similar to the enzo bags, we just don't have ours yet.

Just in case you guys haven't seen, there is a thread started with regards to issues that it appears that Tige has been working through with the mounting of the VX. It appears that they are mounted incorrect on alot of the Z boats.

Here is the link to that thread

Did you already wakesurf before buying the boat? Could be you just need to work on technique to be able to ride rope less, it's not an automatic thing even if you have the perfect huge wave, do you have any pics or video of your wave and your riding?

Pull the CVX off until you get the updated brackets, we couldn't surf behind ours with the CVX on so I removed it and it is way better now.

Based in input from snroth on this, we pulled our CVX off last week and the pocket opened up 4-6 feet for us. Patiently awaiting the correct VX brackets to arrive.
