This has been documented before, but:

      2009 24Ve with "ultra-ballast" setup
Both rear lockers gutted to the hull and transom for maximum ballast volume
Batteries, TAPS pump, etc. repositioned behind engine
Custom Fly High aft fat sacs, each over ten feet long
Fly High horseshoe-shaped front fat sac
1600 GPH pumps for rear, 1200 GPH pumps for front
      1200 GPH aft crossover pumps
Y-adapters for rear to reduce effect of fat sac fitting constriction (~20% reduction in fill time)

View of one of the fat sacs partially inflated with air (my then 9YO son provides scale):

We all surf normal side at the moment, so most of our photos are of the port side:

2002 23V, two enzo bags in rear lockers. prob get 800 lbs in stb locker and 1000lbs in port. Running a 350 lbs bag in walkway and will be adding more to the front to dial in wave. We run around 10.5 to 11 mph and about 3 on taps. Any more and it seems to wash. Sorry no pics yet.

My setup is about 1150 in the rear corner and the 400 U shaped bow sac full up front, speed is 11.8 with taps at 4 with 3 adults in the boat, 1 driver and the other 2 sitting on the surf side, and my 2 kids in the bow on the surf side. If we don't have extra adults I place a 150 sac on top of the surf V-locker and another on the surf bow seat.

                  Waboating and ruger -

Great tips thanks! You're not kidding when you say get in close

I've tried to squeeze another 250 lb sac on top/beside the 540lb in the rear locker. I think a single 750 would work nice but for now I'm pretty happy with this wave.

Now I just need to plumb in this system ImageUploadedByTapatalk1375252976.082068.jpg

Looking good. It takes a little bit to get the right ballast combination adn then just pulling into that sweet spot. I did some reweight myself this past weekend and made all the difference in the push. Now i just need to get a few different sacs to make the fit better. And a plumbed in system or partial system is on my list as well.

                        700lb bowsac

Mounted pump on back of seat in engine compartment, so i can hear it running, (or not burning up),

We followed Ragboys suggestions and took weight out of the bow and put more in the back. We now run 900 rear locker and 400 in the coffin, TAP's is 5.5 and speed is 10.5

                                2000 23V

                                1100 rear hatch starboard side
300 under seat behind the driver where the cooler was
725 under bow seats busting at the seams

                                speed right around 11 mph
taps really depends on how many people we have in the boat

Surf wave is really strong... May add some weight this off season to try to get some more length.
