    Ballast 20I 2006 model Ideas & Input

    Hi Everyone,
i have a 2006 20i which i use for wake boarding, all summer i have been manually filling a 140kg fat sac in the front walkway and a 120KG sac in the rear locker. all has been well and im very happy with the size of the wake. however not say happy to fill them manually !! this winter i have some plans to get and auto system up and running but as i have never done anything like this id like some help. To paint u all a picture i plan on having a rear sac filled by its own jabcso pump and then the front will be two 70kg sacs in the front lockers filled by one jabsco pump. alright here come the questions

1, not sure on size or type of fitting to put in the bottom of the boat for filling, do i use two 1 inch skim fittings or do the two pumps share a 1" or 1.5" skim fitting or do i use some other fitting.

2, How do i fill the two front sacs? do i fill at the same time or one after another (fill one and when overflow it flows into the second sac) Can see this needing a lot of pressure.

3, size of hose for the overflow on the sacs.

4, will the solenoid valve idea i have work (going off the diagrams)

If anyone has any input at all it would be great
    Cheers
    Anthony

You have planned out a nice system however it would be better to use check valves instead of solenoid valves. Cheaper and less problems down the line.

There are plenty of threads here on ballast installs. Search them for ideas and setups.

Also I would recommend that you get with chpthrl. He is the go to man for ballast setups, design and parts supplier. He will get you going for sure. As others post here you may have more questions so ask away.
