Does anyone know what the purpose of the rubber tabs on the bottom of the seats are? I have a 2009 22ve and with the custom sacs full and these tabs extending into the seat cavity, my seats push up. Can I remove them? I don't believe that they hold the seats down.

The tabs are there to help hold the seat in place, they are mounted to match the opening to the storage area. If you remove them the seat will not have anything to prevent it from sliding off the fiberglass, and its not going to stop a full bag from pushing the seat up. I have custom bags and my starboard side does "seat wheelies" too. It just adds to the laugh factor.
I thought about making some rectangular boards covered in carpet that are large enough to block the bag from pushing through. Just place them on top of the bag, as bag fills it would simply press itself to the underside of the fiberglass seat frame. When the bags are empty it just lays on the bag.
