    Bow sacs for RZ2

Has anyone confirmed that when surfing with a rz2 running bow weight only on the surf side is better than using a u shape sac like the w711 and adding bow weight across the entire bow?
How much weight do you think is added to the bow of a RZ2 when using the w711? And how much weight do you think is added when using two separate 400 lb v drive sacs? The w711 fits pretty good in the bow and I think fills close to what the manufacturer says (650). I haven't tried fitting v drive sacs into the bow but with there size in width and height I can't see getting 300 lbs into each sac.

I don't run any bow weight. I always try putting a 400lb vdrive sac in the walkway but I don't notice that much of a difference.

I'm going to clamp my bow bag and turn it into two separate 200lb sacs. Mostly for times I'm out with a minimal amount of people. I have filled it to add weight to the boat for surfing but it doesn't help the lean at all, it makes the pocket longer but knocks down the height. After I'm done with my ballast upgrade the height will be good and the bow weight should help the pocket a little.

I want to get as much weight up front under the seats as possible for boarding. I haven't tried running any bow weight up front for surfing and this winter I installed a ballast system with the u shape sac and im thinking that if adding weight up front to just the surf side improves the wake I might swap out the u sac for the v drive sacs. My concern is if i will lose weight for boarding using the v drive sacs vs using the u shape sac? My fill line for the bow sac is on the port side so I was thinking I could also disconnect the starboard drain line and fold the u shape sac up to the center when surfing and only fill the port side of the u shape sac and being as we only surf port side i should work fine but i would like to no what everyone thinks about the weight difference using the u shape vs using the v drive in the bow.

What sac does Tige put in the Pro Ballast option of the RZ2 now? It has individual sacs in the front.

Here is what I can tell you from my experience.

I run a jumbo surf sac (1100 lbs in the rear) and a tube sac (380lbs under the port seat. The tube sac helps list the boat over, but with the amount of weight running in the rear of the boat the more weight you put up front helps extend the pocket. I have not found that the wake improves by only filling one side of the front.

I have not tried running the jumbo surf sac, and the front port by iteself though. Interesting question though.

How do you plan to clamp the front sac? I have the surf option with the 400 lb u-shaped bag, and I wanted to try filling only one side. Clamping would be easier than waiting until the boat lists from the rear sac and then trying to fill the front only on one side.
