I look forward to getting out with you guys and dialing in the wake. I have been feeling a bit under the weather for a couple of days, so my plan to be finished today is behind schedule. It will be done before next weekend for sure.
The installation of the cross member to the swim platform brackets was simple.
Overall it was not a very difficult project, but drilling holes in the stainless cross-member was a challenge until I got some good titanium drill bits.
The ballast project is finished and tested at the lake today. Thank you to all the folks on this forum who helped with input and suggestions. I never could have done this without you guys. You are all invited to ride any time
With all the wiring complete, it was time to reconnect the batteries and check everything out. Without trying to start the motor, most everything seemed to be working except the TAPS and the sound system. I spent some time trouble shooting before I figured out that my house battery was dead. When I connected everything to the starting battery, all problems vanished. So, I picked up a new deep cycle battery today and hooked up to go to the lake.
I had planned to run the boat at the house before going out there, but my $5 fake-a-lake has been misplaced, so I took the chance and headed out.

The aft most thru hull is added for the new drain and vent.

Here is a view of the Port locker with the sac in it. the battery switch is in a convenient location up high near the gunwale. The battery cable follows the fuel filler line and then goes forward, so this is an ideal location - no added cable length required.

Hooked up and ready to go. Note the Tige sticker on the Sequoia.
On the water, the system worked great. There were no leaks of any significance in any of the plumbing. Just a very slow drip at one of the check valves.
Unfortunately no one got in the water today, but here are a few pics of the wave. Boat showed lake temp at 53 F.
We did Starboard side first and with myself, my wife and our 12 yo son, we weren't quite at the rub rail, but pretty close.
The wave looked great to me. My son says it's not as big as he expected, but it is much longer than last year. For most of the time TAPS was 4.5 and speed 11.2. I'm sure we'll get this dialed in quickly.
