    Jabsco pump pressure

Does anyone no what kind of pressure a jabsco impellar pump produces? I would like to install a Y in the output line and attach a garden hose connection so I can pump water to shore for things like a slip n slid. Any ideas?

The manual for a ballast puppy includes a head-flow table that includes pressure. Link to manual

Will this be a pump thats already installed in the boat as a ballast pump? If you are buying a pump just for this purpose, then skip the ignition-protected Ballast Puppy and go with a cheaper non ignition protected fluid transfer pump.

I would stay with an impeller style pump though. They loose less pressure p/ft of hose as compared to a live-well style. Pumping up on shore for a slide could be a bit of distance.

I was thinking about using a existing pump that was used for ballast just add a Y and shutoff valve, since the pump would already be installed. Maybe I will look at a dedicated pump just for pumping water to shore I was just tryn to make it simply and help justify the cost of jabsco pumps.

In that case, the rock on with yur bad self. You've got the pump, its wired and plumbed to a source. Instead of a Y and shut-off, I would look into a 3-way diverter. They can even be cable actuated remotely. This would allow you to switch between slipnslid and ballast sac with using two valves and having to reach into a compartment to switch things.

I could see having an extra water line on boat being useful, or at least fun, in a few other cases too.....
