How much ballast are you guys adding when wake boarding.

I add 400 in the font and 500 in each locker. The wake is good but I think it can be better.

Thats all I've been doing this summer. 400 in front and full 600 in each locker. Still have to move some people to the front to get the boat on plane faster.

I haven't added any. It would be interesting to see what it does with ballast. I didn't think I was good enough to add any.

      Where do you boat?

IMO one way to get it better is to add more front. the rear weight adds the height and the front adds firmness to the wake and also cleans up the wash.

I run 400 up front and 250 each rear locker, the factory set up and then have added an extra 300 in the Front/midship area. So i run a heavier front than rear when ballast is all i have on board(1200 lbs ballast), but we usually have a crowd of 10. So disperse them 2-3 front and rest in the back. Call our average pasenger 150 lbs Probably Low ball but good starting point- so 1500lbs of people. 2700 lbs total weight. It rocks and we have tons of people wanting to board behind us. Our lake is very heavily represented by Tige and also Malibu, every boarder out there wants to try ours wether they ride Tige or Bu they look at us and want to try.

            750 each rear locker
            400 on floor in back
            400 in walkway
100 hard tank midship on each side
            1000 triangle in the bow
            3200ish total

We have factory 900lbs. 400 front 250 each rear corner, been riding full ballast this summer + plus 6 people total crew when one riding on th eboard we try to 1 or 2 in front, rest in back and all is good. I just had a really good guy on my boat last weekend (80') and he wanted to see another 1000lbs added and dispersed evenly, he loved my wake compared to his SAN. Said it was slightly softer and wider. Now when I ride with less than 5 in the boat wake seems small.
