I was wondering if a sac could be placed under the floor in front of the gas tank on a 2008 22VE??? Any ideas, is that an option. I have connected up with the footers edge for guidance on the automated ballast system hookup, anybody know about this or any threads?? Always looks for tips and guidance! Thanks, I'm trying to get my wake as big as my buddy's Malibu wakesetter. My wake is deeper and cleaner, but not nearly as steep and big!
chpthril is a expert on ballast you may try a PM TO him.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

With the standard 38 gal tank on the 22Ve, there is very little room in the bilge in front of the fuel tank. The weight gained would not nearly offset the time and effort to get it there.

What is your goal, wake-board or surf wake? For wake-boarding, you will need a lot more weight up front, especially with a pair 900# Jumbo sacs in the rear. Plumbing in sacs in the mid-ship lockers is about the only other option for added ballast sacs thats not out in the open.

The extra weight would be for surfing only. I feel the wake is plenty big for wakeboarding with adjusting the taps and the jumbo sacs in the back. I have tried moving one of the jumbo sacs from the rear locker over to the surf side and placing that in the middle left storage compartment and filling it as much as possible. It helps for sure, but I would like bigger!
It seems like I could load up a lot more weight as the water line still isn't close to the bumper molding on the side of the boat. I hear this is the safety line for surfing according to Wake9.com-love those guys.

Think of it as a teeter-toter.......the more weight you move forward, the less effect the weight in the rear has on sinking the stern. Now, some boats do like some weight up front and it will extend the pocket, but only after there is enough ballast in the back.

This has been done. Because its back of the transon, it adds some conter-lever effect.
