    Leaking Ballast Tank.

    Looking for some guidance.

I have a 2005 24V with an integrated ballast system. It has 4 hard tanks inside. 2 in the front and 2 in the rear lockers that stretch all the way into the seat storage areas. One seems to have a leak. It's hard to tell exactly where with the carpet still on it, but I believe its where the bottom panel meets the back panel.

Has anyone experienced thier's cracking? Any advice on removal and a fix? Is there anyway to bond the crack?

    Thanks!

I plan on living with the leak until winter. Was thinking about using J-B Weld Waterweld. Has anyone ever used this? Any thoughts?

A good soldering iron works great for welding cracks in plastic.

I got the problem fixed over the winter and wanted to give some feedback. I found the crack to be right around the outbound pump on the back side of the tank. The rubber footings, that were screwed to the floor to hold the hard ballast tank into place, had wiggled loose. This allowed the entire tank to slide backwards when I picked up a boarder. The pump hitting the back wall with all that weight made a circular crack around the port. I used a 2-part hardening clay, that I got from auto-zone, that I rolled around the port and sealed the crack. Worked well.
